The National Technical Committee is holding a workshop in preparation of the Country participation to CITES COP19 in Panama (14-25 Nov 2022).The Committee comprises members from State Department for Wildlife, Kenya Wildlife Service, Wildlife Research Training Institute , National Museums of Kenya, KEFRI, Kenya Forestry Service, Kenya Fisheries Service.
The team is expected to give recommendations on the Kenya interventions/position on various proposals and working documents for adoption in COP19.
The 3 days Workshop that was earlier today officially opened by Wildlife Secretary Dr. Kanga on behalf of the PS also had SDW Secretary Admin Mr Chelimo and Head Legal Madam Polyn in attendance among others.
