Principal Secretary, State Department for Wildlife Ms Museiya led staff from the State Department for Wildlife, Wildlife Research Training Institute Board, WRTI staff and students in planting 5,000 seedlings at the training Institute in Naivasha. This is in support of the governments agenda of growing #15Billion trees in 10years.
Ms Silvia congratulated the Students for choosing conservation as their study choice and noted that the future is Conservtion is very bright, encouraging them to work hard even as they pursue their various courses.
The State Department intends to plant and grow more trees in other parts of the country among them; Aberdares, Tsavo and Ruma National parks.
Tree planting is a boost to government climate change mitigation efforts.
The PS also attend a WRTI Board of Management meeting in her capacity as a Director.
