The Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Tourism and Wildlife, Dr. Alfred Mutua, today met with the MAA Governors; H.E. Joseph Ole Lenku of Kajiado county, H.E. Patrick Ole Ntutu of Narok county, and H.E. Jonathan Lati Lelelit of Samburu county, along with Principal Secretaries, Silvia Museiya (Wildlife) and John Ololtuaa (Tourism), to discuss crucial matters related to tourism and wildlife conservation.
With a particular focus on Amboseli National Park, the leaders reached a consensus to reconvene in the park next Monday. The agenda will include discussions on conservation, expanding grazing areas for animals, mitigating human-wildlife conflicts, and charting the future path of Amboseli.
This gathering marks a significant step towards sustainable management of our national parks and reserves.
