The Cabinet Secretary (CS), Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage, Hon. Peninah Malonza, has today morning held a consultative media round table with editors and journalists from leading media houses in Kenya, to explore on ways of enhancing collaboration with the media to promote tourism, wildlife and heritage in Kenya.
“With Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) at the heart of the Kenya Kwanza Government, we are looking into nurturing Kenya’s tourism ecosystem, diversifying Kenya’s tourism products, and diversifying our source markets,โ said the CS.
The CS also added that since the media shape the narrative about destination Kenya, there are numerous ways they can help profile Magical Kenya.
Among them; promotion of the destination to a vast global audience, leveraging the existing diverse experiences; positive storytelling of the country; unbiased reporting that can add credibility to the destination’s image; covering and highlighting of the Ministryโs events; advantage tourism content in digital platforms since the media enjoys a huge following, among others.
