This morning, PS John Ololtuaa had a meeting with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) delegation led by the Ag. Director Andrew Mold on drafting of the National Tourism Strategy at the State Departments office.
UNECA has continued to support tourism in Kenya through various initiatives aimed at enhancing the sector’s growth and sustainability.
The National Tourism Strategy is essential for the sustainable growth of the sector, helping to balance economic, environmental, and social considerations while positioning Kenya as a global leader in tourism.
Present during the meeting was the CEO Tourism Research Institute David Gitonga, Tourism Regulatory Authority Director General Norbert Talam, officers from the State Department for tourism and other tourism stakeholders.
