PS Prof Fred Segor’s visit in Baringo Conservancies

State Department for Wildlife Principal Secretary Prof. Fred Segor is on a working tour of Baringo County and visiting Kibirgoch and Irong conservancies.
The two conservancies are part of the larger Baringo Ecosystem , which is rich in various wildlife species and covering about 11,015 square kilometers.
 Addressing members of Kibirgoch Conservancy this morning, Prof. Segor disclosed that currently we have 170 conservancies in the country.
He said the government is encouraging private players to set up conservancies as one way of conserving ecosystem and supporting livelihoods.
