Tourism Associations Kenya’s well established Tourism
sector is strengthened and united by several public and private sector
associations. The following organizations can provide a great
deal of useful information and resources on Kenyan tourism: Kenya Association of
Tour Operators (KATO) The Kenya
Association of Tour Operators (KATO) is Kenya's leading tourism trade
association, representing the interests of some 200 experienced professional
tour operators. Kenya Association of Travel Agents
(KATA) The Kenya Association of Travel Agents
(KATA) is a national organization comprising of mainly IATA agents. The
association is a member of UFTAA, the Universal Federation of Travel Agents'
Association representing 84 countries with its headquarters in Brussels.
The Eco-Tourism
Society of Kenya (ESOK) Ecotourism Kenya
is a civil society organization that was founded in 1996 to promote ecotourism
and sustainable tourism practices in Kenya. Founded with enormous industry
support, the society was charged with the responsibility of providing the
required support for the development of ecotourism and sustainable tourism in
the country. Kenya Association of Hotelkeepers and
Caterers Established in 1944, the Kenya
Association of Hotelkeepers and Caterers is a company with no share capital.
The Association hosts and celebrates diversity. We are the
principal umbrella organization bringing together hotels, lodges, restaurants,
membership clubs and prominent airline caterers whose all common theme is to
render services in the hospitality industry
